The fact that the MPs of the Republic of Moldova haven’t sat for over two months does not mean that they didn’t work. This way, the MPs consider they deserve the salaries they received in the period. Similar positions were stated by the MPs Sergiu Litvinenco – PAS, Nicolae Ciubuc – PDM, Vasile Nastase – PPPDA and Gaik Vartanean – PSRM, IPN reports.

PAS MP Sergiu Litvinenco said the salaries were transferred to the card even if they had less active legislative activity. Even so, they worked in Parliament.

MP Nicolae Ciubuc said the Democratic parliamentary group in the period organized a donation campaign to raise funds for the National Philharmonics. During two months, he daily went to the Parliament Building.

“No matter what opinion we state today, this will be subjective. It depends on the activities and results we generated. During the period of two months, I practically daily was present there since 8am and there are cameras showing this. We worked on different bills, made approaches and worked at the local level for at least two-three times a week. Ultimately, the Parliament’s activity is not assessed only from the perspective of sittings. There are many activities that we perform,” MP Nicolae Ciubuc stated in “Natalia Morari’s Politics” on TV8 channel.

Even if the Socialist MPs campaigned for Igor Dodon, Socialist MP Gaik Vartanean said the MPs interacted with citizens. As a result, they will draft more bills for the people’s benefit. “MPs of the group of the Party of Socialists were very active in Parliament during these two months. I know that many MPs travelled to districts,” he stated.

PPPDA MP Vasile Nastase said he was satisfied with the work he did during the past two months. “I, for example, in the period registered three bills and tomorrow will register one in person. The other mates from our group or from the other groups also worked,” he noted.
