MPs satisfied with progress made in visa regime liberalization

The members of the Parliament’s commission on foreign policy and European integration expressed their satisfaction with the progress made in the negotiations on the Moldova – EU Action Plan on Visa Liberalization and in the process of implementing the first stage of the plan. Related discussions were held in a meeting where the administration of the Foreign Ministry was questioned about the fulfillment of Moldova’s commitments related to the European integration, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Parliament’s press service. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca and Deputy Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman spoke about the implementation of the Action Plan on Visa Liberalization, the negotiations on the Association Agreement and the Agreement on the Creation of a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, and other topical subjects from Moldova’s European agenda, especially before the meeting of the Moldova-EU Cooperation Council that will take place on June 26. The commission’s chairman Igor Corman asked instituting a permanent mechanism for interaction and information exchange between the Foreign Ministry and the commission on foreign policy and European integration. The MPs decided to also question representatives of other ministries about the fulfillment of Moldova’s European agenda.
