Representatives of the government coalition deny the assertions of the leader of the European People’s Party, MP Iurie Leanca that he was offered the post of minister of foreign affairs and European integration, which he made one day earlier. The issue was discussed in the talk show “In Depth” on PRO TV Chisinau channel, IPN reports.

Democratic MP Sergiu Sarbu said no discussions were held about Iurie Leanca. “We didn’t discuss and no such discussions are held. We discussed with Iurie Leanca only last year, about the parliamentary cooperation in promoting the European integration and nothing more. We didn’t hear that someone offered him the post of minister of foreign affairs,” he stated.

Valeriu Munteanu, deputy chairman of the Liberal Party, noted that Iurie Leanca was offered no post. “The issue wasn’t discussed within the Alliance’s Council either. His party is not a ruling one. He wants a lot. He should first come to power and then claim posts,” he said.

On the other hand, Socialist MP Vladimir Turcanu said that Iurie Leanca has been long in government and voted for all the bills proposed by the ruling alliance, together with MP Eugen Carpov.

In the talk show “Important” on TVC 21 channel, Iurie Leanca said the ruling alliance two week ago offered him to take up again the post of minister of foreign affairs and European integration.
