The MPs of ACUM, DA Platform group request the setting up of a new commission of inquiry to continue the investigation of banking fraud, as well as the way of distributing the emergency credits granted by the NBM to the three looted banks. The legislative initiative developed in this regard was presented by the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Alexandru Slusari, at a press conference, IPN reports.
According to the deputy, during the activity of the first commission, more information was obtained about the fact that the theft in the banking system did not stop in November 2014. Moreover, it was found that many suspicious things also occurred during the liquidation process of the three looted banks, a process which is not yet completed. "Within this commission, if it is created, we will examine, one by one, each loan that has been granted to the three banks and has not been repaid," said Alexandru Slusari.
Alexandru Slusari reminded that on November 17 a month had passed since the report on the elucidation of all circumstances of the banking system looting between 2011-2014 was presented to Parliament. At the same time, a decision was approved in which tasks were set and requests were submitted to the Government, the NBM and the General Prosecutor's Office, that have still to be carried out and made public. "DA Platform group calls for this decision to be enforced, so that the process of investigating the banking fraud could be continued at the parliamentary level," stated the Deputy Speaker of Parliament.
Alexandru Slusari has also mentioned that the decision of the Parliament approved a month ago provided for the examination of the opportunity to revise the law that imposes on citizens the payment of the "stolen billion". The ACUM, DA Platform group insists that this process be expedited.
Alexandru Slusari has emphasized that not all ways to recover the money have been used nor has been completed the liquidation process of the three banks.
