The MPs observed a moment of silence in memory of the health workers who lost the battle with the novel coronavirus, IPN reports.
Andrian Candu, of the Pro Moldova parliamentary group, read the names of the doctors who died due to COVID-19. “These are heroes in white gowns who sacrificed their health or even life for the health and life of people. They deserve to be remembered,” he stated.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, more than 5,300 deaths associated with the novel coronavirus have been recorded in Moldova so far. Among those who died are 109 health workers.
