Unaffiliated MPs Alexandr Nesterovschi and Irina Lozovan, who left the Party of Socialists, are collecting signatures in favor of founding a new party. According to them, defending the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova will be one of the priorities of the future party. This will also plead for returning the status of the second official language to Russian.

In a news conference hosted by IPN, Alexandr Nesterovschi said that joining the Eurasian Union will also be among the new party’s priorities. “It is a Union that includes our old friends with which we cooperated earlier – Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Kirgizstan etc. We are for entry into the Eurasian Union and for extended relations with the CIS,” said the MP. According to him, this is to the citizens’ benefit.

The Republic of Moldova is a neutral state and this is stipulated in the Constitution. As the citizens also want, the state should not become involved in any conflict, should not join any military bloc and should keep peace, stated Alexandr Nesterovschi.

The MP also said that when he joined the Party of Socialists, this party had the same principles and ideologies. But the Socialists no longer promote what they promised. “We are building a new party based on the same principles that the Socialists had at the start. If the people want to join in and to fight together with us for their interests, for a strong, neutral Moldova, for friendly relations with the Russian Federation, they are welcome,” noted Alexandr Nesterovschi.

For her part, Irina Lozovan said the Republic of Moldova goes through the most serious economic and social crisis since it declared its Independence. It happens due to the incompetence of the government. On the instruction of the West, the puppets from Chisinau ended the traditional relations with the Russian Federation, which is a strategic partner.

“We, as unaffiliated MPs and as initiators of a new party, plead for the immediate accession of the Republic of Moldova to the Eurasian Union whose members are our traditional partners. Among these are the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan etc. It is our traditional market and it is huge and we should export our Moldova products, primarily agricultural ones, to it,” stated Irina Lozovan.

The unaffiliated MPs also said that their goal is to unify Moldovan society.
