The former Liberal-Democratic MPs who formed a new parliamentary group said they will not vote for the bills proposed by the parliamentary alliance if these do not correspond to their options. Opinions on the issue were stated in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.
MP Iurie Leanca, who heads the European People’s Party of Moldova, said that one of the goals of the new parliamentary group is to assist the government in doing reforms. “It does not mean that we will vote any bill, but we want to stimulate the government to speed up reform. By creating this group, we offer us one more chance. It was a small step towards rebuilding the team,” he stated.
Valeriu Giletski noted the group was constituted in a move to offer the unaffiliated MPs more possibilities. “We should efficiently use the time that remained. An unaffiliated MP could not do much. We didn’t change the conception. It was a political crisis that affected parties and split our party. Now we found our place,” said the MP.
Ex-Lib-Dems Valeriu Giletski, Stefan Creanga, George Mocanu, Aliona Gota, Octavian Grama, Mihaela Spataru and Simion Grishchuk on April 12 created the European People’s Group in Parliament together with independents Iurie Leanca and Eugen Carpov.
