The Moldovan citizens in 2013 must feel the effects of the reforms implemented in Moldova. It will be a decisive year, consider MPs of the Alliance for European Integration. On the other hand, the opposition hopes that the legislative body will be dissolved in 2013 and there will be held early elections, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The head of the Liberal-Democratic faction Valeriu Strelet said that this year will be crucial for Moldova. There will take place important events including the Eastern Partnership Summit, in November. Until then, there must be ensured all the support that the governmental team will need to successfully end the talks in the areas on which the movement and welfare of the Moldovans depend. Among other objectives in 2013 are the fight against corruption and the reformation of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the justice system and the police.
The leader of the Liberal faction Ion Hadarca stated that the legislative process in 2013 is absolutely necessary for achieving all the objectives. “2013 is a turning year that must bring palpable results. We must have concrete results. I think there will be budget increases and adjustments. We expect that all the institutions that are being reformed will become more active and the people’s trust will increase,” said the MP, adding that there are disagreements inside the alliance yet, but they will not shatter the concrete foundation.
Dumitru Diacov, who heads the Democratic faction, said that in 2013 the people must be more optimistic and believe in Moldova’s progress. “The citizens must be confident that 2013 will be an easier and more peaceful year. We will analyze the mistakes made in 2012 so as not to repeat them in 2013. I’m optimistic and want to believe that 2013 will be a better year for Moldova because the people and the country deserve it,” he stated.
The chairman of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin said that the early legislative elections are the best solution for improving the living standards in Moldovans as only another government will be able to take the country out of poverty.
