The justice sector reform, corruption fighting and eradication of corruption are the main subjects on which Parliament will focus during the spring session, MP of the Social-Democratic Platform Violeta Ivanov and Democratic MP Sergiu Sarbu said in a televised program, IPN reports.

“We will concentrate our attention on the unification of the Moldovan people. The people are tired of geopolitics and are no longer concerned with it. They are concerned about other problems like to have a job, well-paid salaries, reasonable prices, good living standards and others. If there is a split, it is very hard to solve these problems. We need a constructive dialogue and must work and save Moldova,” said Violeta Ivanov.

The former Communist MP noted that the legislature will also focus on the justice sector reform. “We will do our best to ensure the rule of law. The European partners have big doubts in this regard. A lot of resources were allocated, but not much was done. We must restore the confidence of the foreign partners,” stated Violeta Ivanov.

Sergiu Sarbu said they will continue to work on the laws aimed at fighting corruption. “The Moldovans are very inventive. The functionaries find methods of hiding the property earned unjustly. That’s why we will adopt the package of laws on integrity in the second reading,” he stated.
