Liberal-Democrat MP Andrei Vacarciuc is proposing Parliament to double fines for violations involving heavy vehicles, Info-Prim Neo reports. In particular, fines should rise to 600-1,000 lei for individuals and to 3,000-4,000 lei for legal entities, from 400-2000 lei at present. It is also proposed to increase fines for tracked vehicles, animal-powered vehicles, improperly equipped vehicles, and vehicles whose loads create mess on the roads. Fines would rise to 600-1000 lei for individuals, and to 3,000-4,000 lei for legal entities. Carrying stone or sand on vehicles without scales could also be punishable by fines of 3,000-4,000 lei.
