MP Igor Clipii: "The mother of idiots is always pregnant"

At Thursday’s meeting of the Parliament, the MP and vice president of the Democratic Party (PD) Igor Klipii toughly criticized the program “Stories with Masks” broadcast by the television channel NIT, Info-Prim Neo reports. From the rostrum of the Parliament, the MP said that the program “is produced by churls and for churls”. Igor Klipii stated that the magazine can produce satisfaction and physiological sensations only to persons with a low intellectual coefficient. He included in this category the producers of the program who, according to him, work “under cover”. “This is the reality. As the Englishmen say: the mother of idiots is always pregnant,” Klipii said. Klipii said he is sure that his opinion is shared by many co-nationals, but many of them cannot make their opinions public. “I got used to the fact that the press does nor inform, but manipulates. We have accepted the fact that the power manipulates from public money, while the Opposition from the money that is has or does not and poor those that do not have money. They risk being denigrated under the looks and applauses of the others,” the PD MP said. Igor Klipii says that the program has an undetermined character because no one yet risked to take attitude towards it, neither the Broadcasting Coordination Council, nor the guild colleagues or the political class. The MP demands that the program is banned for children under the age of 16 because its language and intellectual content can have degrading effects on a child’s mind. The program “Stories with Masks” is produced by a private Moldovan television channel. The authors specify that any resemblance to real personages is accidental though the masks and the names of the characters clearly suggest that they represent politicians from the Moldovan Opposition.
