MP Elena Bodnarenco died. Her mates from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists transmitted a condolence message, saying that Elena Bodnarenco will remain in memory as a firm and principled fighter for the interests of the people, IPN reports.
“In the person of Missis Bodnarenco, the Party of Communists and the Party of Socialists lost a mate and a real friend, a sincere and honest person. We express our profound condolences to the family and friends of Elena Bodnarenco. God rest her soul,” reads the message. Her mates also noted that the MP had been fighting a serious disease.
An economist by profession and a master of public administration, Elena Bodnarenco was a member of the Party of Communists. She sat as an MP also in 2005-2009 and in 2014-2019. In 2011- 2015, she served as the mayor of Soroca town.
