The movement of the population will be banned and isolation at home will be mandatory in the districts put on red alert due to the pandemic situation. The warning was issued by the police, which make reference to the new rules set down by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, large-scale events, including cultural, scientific, artistic, sports and recreational activities, with the physical presence of persons in these districts is banned.
Only vital services will be allowed, while unessential visits to units of public interest (bank, post office, etc.) will be banned. In the districts under red alert, education will be organized online.
The number of cases of COVID-19 in Moldova now stands at 192,985, while of associated deaths at 4,071. The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission said the higher incidence rate and contagiousness and the higher number of districts put on red alert and of serious forms of COVID-19 point to the worsening of the epidemic situation in Moldova.
