The identity of the mother of the four-year-old girl Daria, who was found near garbage bins in Botanica district of Chisinau, was discovered. The woman suffers from schizophrenia and abuses alcohol, while the girl’s father died, IPN reports.
The woman is 36 and has four more children besides Daria, but was deprived of parental rights for these other children. “The four children are at placement centers. The woman is under doctors’ supervision owing to her disease. The proposal to deprive her of parental rights over the fifth child will be submitted to the Botanica district head’s office tomorrow (December 16),” said Natalia Stati, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division.
The woman faces a maximal fine of 400 lei for neglect. The girl is now at a temporary placement center in Botanica. She is to be transferred to a permanent placement center.
Daria was found near garbage bins on Cuza-Voda St in Chisinau on the night of December 14.
