Mother convicted of her son’s death

The Ciocana District Court sentenced a 22-year-old woman to one year and a half in prison for causing the death of her one-year-old son, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the woman was begging at entrances to buildings and apartments together with her baby. Left without supervision, the child fell from the sixth floor down the stairs. The baby died two hours later in hospital. The woman was punished because she put the child in a dangerous situation. She has two more children who are looked after by the grandparents.
