A mother from Sangureni village of Rascani district said educators of the local kindergarten are to blame for the incurable disease of her son aged three. According to Diana Cibotaru, her son developed a brain tumor after he hit himself at the kindergarten. The child is in a serious state. He does not eat, does not walk, has convulsions and doctors do not give him chances of survival.
The woman has told IPN’s reporter that the accident happened in May. The educators called her to take her son home as he poured a container of water over him. When she arrived at the kindergarten, she found the boy in blood, pale and unable to speak. In several days, the child was taken to the Mother and Child Center in Chisinau where he was operated. The Moldovan doctors said the child will not recover and thus the family decided to take him to Moscow. But the doctors there could not save him either.
“Nobody has been punished. My boy was an active and joyful kid. Everything started when they called me to the kindergarten,” stated Diana Cibotaru.
Contacted by IPN, the kindergartens’ director Ludmila Lungu denied that the boy injured himself at the kindergarten. She said the educators are accused groundlessly as a tumor cannot develop so quickly.
Mayor of Sangureni Virgil Molosag has told IPN that he didn’t order an inquiry into this case because he found out about the kid three weeks after the accident about which the mother talks. The mayor said that he discussed with the kindergarten’s director, who told him that the boy didn’t hit himself there.
The head of the Education Division of the Rascani District Council Viorel Dandara told the Agency’s reporter that they know nothing about this case, but will seek an internal inquiry to establish how the child injured himself.
