Mother and son found dead in unclear circumstances

A Chisinau woman, 49, and her 13-year-old son were found dead in their Ciocana home on Thursday. The circumstances and the cause of the deaths are unclear, Info-Prim Neo reports. The police was called by the woman's partner who had found the bodies. The police said the mother and the son apparently died of intoxication, but the nature of the poisoning is yet unknown. One version is that the teenager committed suicide and the mother repeated the act after finding him dead. The police don't rule out an accident or murder as the possible causes of death. However, sources within the Chisinau Emergency Services said the ambulance crew which responded to the case found bruises on the boy's neck, indicating possible strangling.
