Mother and baby in carriage hurt in road accident

A baby girl in a carriage and her mother were injured in a road accident in the yard of an apartment building situated on Dimo St in Chisinau on Friday, Info-Prim Neo reports. The 25-year-old woman was leaning over the carriage when she was struck by a Mercedes. She was rushed to the Emergency Hospital with a contusion and a fracture of the left shoulder. The girl of only one year was admitted to Valentin Ignatenco Hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma. There police officers suffered injuries in a traffic accident that happened on Calea Iesilor St last night. The police car overturned when it was struck by a BMW that did not stop. About an hour later, two cars collided at the intersection of Bernardazzi and Tighina streets. The driver of a Dacia-Logan aged 36 and her 14-year-old son suffered cranial-cerebral traumas, while a passenger aged 34 received minor injuries. Two women traveling in a taxi sustained traumas when the cab collided with another car on Alecu Russo St. A woman, 30, suffered a thoracic trauma, while another one aged 20 – a cranial-cerebral trauma and a contusion. According to the Chisinau Ambulance Service, 11 persons, two of whom minors, were hurt in seven road accidents in the capital city during 24 hours.
