Friday is the day that witnesses the largest number of traffic accidents. According to statistics of the National Patrolling Inspectorate, most of the road accidents in 2013 occurred in September. The interval during which the accidents are most frequent is between 6pm and 8pm.
Press officer of the National Patrolling Inspectorate Diana Fetco has told IPN that over 2,600 traffic accidents were recorded in Moldova last year. They claimed 295 lives. Over 3,000 people were hurt.
Compared with 2012, the number of road accidents fell by 4.1%.
