The early education institutions in Chisinau in summer will work according to a special regime and the number of functional kindergartens will decrease. This way, 123 kindergartens of the total 159 will stop work on June 3 on a temporary basis, IPN reports.
According to the municipality, measures were taken to make sure all the children whose parents asked for institutionalization in the period could attend the kindergarten. So, if a kindergarten is closed, another one situated in the same district will work. The parents will file an application to the kindergarten attended by the child without giving reasons why they need the child to go to the institution.
The move was made owing to the reduction in the number of children at kindergartens in summer, the shortage of cooking staff at these institutions, the extension of the work program of the personnel after some of the employees go on leave and the organization of repair works in summer.
Information about the schedule of kindergartens will be available on the website of the General Division of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport and the websites of district education divisions. If unplanned changes are made in the work of early education institutions, the community of parents will be additionally informed about them through the aforementioned websites.
