Most of the candidates running in the snap parliamentary elections of July 11 are men – 959 or 53.5%. The women represent 46.5% (832). 711 candidates for MP or 40.03% are aged between 36 and 50, IPN reports, quoting the Central Election Commission.
The most popular professions among the candidates who aspire for the seat of MP are: jurist - 277 (15.46%), economist – 205 (11.44%), engineer – 199 (11.11%), teacher – 199 (11.11%) and doctor – 76 (4.24%). Among the candidates, 111 persons (6.19%) are unemployed, 67 (3.74%) are pensioners, while 57 (3.18%) are students.
For the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, the CEC registered 23 election contenders: 20 political parties, two electoral blocs and one independent candidate.
