Moscow is on the first spot this year in the top of the most expensive cities of the world; life in Bucharest got cheaper, according to the survey made by the British Mercer Human Resource Consulting Company, quoted by Romanian mass media. The Russian capital is on the pick of the top, getting 124 points among 144 cities. The British experts consider that the three points accumulated by Moscow, compared to the last year, is due to the price explosion on the assets market over the last 12 months. At the opposite side, the city with the lowest costs in the world is Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay. On the 12 position in the top of the most expensive cities of the world is another Russian city, Saint Petersburg. Being placed on the 103 position in the ranking performed last year, Bucharest got down meanwhile 11 positions, getting on the 114 position. Chisinau is not included in the top of cities examined by the British experts. The survey analyses the comparative prices to food goods, clothes, dwellings, utilities, and transport and leisure in 144 cities of all continents of the planet. The top was made for helping the multinationals to establish their further enlargement strategies and to make decisions related to wages paid to employees left abroad. Mercer Human Resource Consulting experts note that lately there were made significant changes in the ranking. Now it would be much expensive to have employees in Russia or Korea, than in Japan or Switzerland.
