The trains running on the Moscow – Chisinau route changed their itinerary and bypass Vinita region in Ukraine following an explosion that occurred in the morning of September 27. In a press release, the state-run Moldova’s Railways said the passenger trains that were to cross the affected region are very late, IPN reports.

The Ukrainian side said a fire on September 27 affected a large munitions store in central-western Ukraine, causing a series of explosions and leading to the evacuation of about 30,000 people in the area. The military prosecutor’s office opened an investigation over “sabotage”.
