Moscow and Chisinau representatives discuss about resumption of official 5+2 negotiations

The Russian Federation supports the resumption of official 5+2 negotiations. The statement was made by the Moscow representative in the negotiations process, Sergei Gubarev, during a meeting with Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to a press release from the Government, the Russian diplomat said that actions targeting solutions for commercial-economic and humanitarian problems would contribute to the political settlement of the Transnistrian issue.
The Moldovan Deputy PM for Reintegration reiterated Moldova’s stance for the immediate resumption of official 5+2 negotiations. Chisinau was open to talk with the Tiraspol representatives about the resumption of full railway traffic, about setting clear rules on goods import and export, reactivating the direct telephony lines, preparing education institutions for the upcoming school year.
Eugen Carpov added that workgroups developing tools for overcoming the issues between the two sides of the Nistru should continue their work.
The two officials talked about the importance of improving the efficiency of the Joint Control Commission and about the need to join efforts for freeing Ilie Cazac, who remains in detention on the left side of the Nistru.
Both parts agreed to maintain a continuous dialogue and coordinate actions to enhance the negotiations process through subsequent meetings and consultations.
