More polling places will be set up in Chisinau

A number of 297 polling stations will be opened in the municipality of Chisinau for the July 29 parliamentary elections - 242 in the city and 55 in the suburbs, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Public Relations Division of the Chisinau City Hall. Compared with the April 5 elections, there will be by four polling places more. Three of them will work in Botanica district, while one in Budesti commune. Such a move was necessary as the number of voters at a poling station should not exceed 3,000 according to the law. The offices of the polling places will start work on July 14. Until then, the Chisinau Municipal Council is to approve the candidates for member of electoral offices. This issue was included in the agenda of today’s meeting of the Council. The electoral rolls will be published at the polling places.
