Another 5,850 doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine have arrived this week in Chisinau. This is the fourth installment of the 700,000 shots purchased by the Ministry of Health through its Office for Foreign Assistance Programs. To date, over 49,000 doses have been received under this arrangement.
The Ministry of Health said in a press release that the 5,850 doses of vaccine have been stored at the National Agency for Public Health and are to be distributed proportionally to all vaccination points throughout the country.
To date, Moldova has received about 275,000 thousand Pfizer shots in total, including 125,000 doses from the COVAX platform, and over 100,000 doses donated by Romania.
