More children to rest in summer camps this year

A larger humbler of children will rest in summer camps in the municipality of Chisinau this year. Last year, this figure was about 18,000 children, while this year will be by almost 1 000 higher. The head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb has told Info-Prim Neo that 21.5 million lei will be allocated from the local budget for organizing the rest in summer camps. Of this sum, 21 million lei will be used to purchase tickets to summer camps, while another 1.1 million lei to repair the camps “Poenita Vesela”, “Alunelul” and “Ciresarii” that are owned by the municipal authorities. More than 19,280 children are expected to go to camps this summer. There will work three types of camps – days camps in schools (24 camps), permanent camps (3) and a number of camps that will be contracted to provide services by a tender contest that will take place at the end of May. The decision to allocate the money for the summer holidays of children was taken in the April 27 meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council.
