The National Public Health Center has announced that the number of cases of flu rose to 132. Last week there were recorded 101 new cases, as against 19 cases a week before. The Center confirmed three cases of death caused by complications from AH1N1 and the B virus, IPN reports.
According to a communique of the Center, of the total number of cases of flu, 74 were recorded in the municipality of Chisinau, 30 in Ungheni, and by 2-7 cases in other districts. As many as 46 cases were confirmed by laboratory tests. Twenty-four of them were caused by the B virus, 21 by AH1N1 and one case by AH3N2.
The three cases of deaths include a girl aged 12 from Valea Perjei village of Taraclia district, a woman aged 45 from the municipality of Chisinau and a pregnant woman from Cahul.
Specialists recommend avoiding crowded places and contact with infected people, using masks, washing hands more often, airing the rooms and going to see a doctor when the first symptoms of the disease appear.
