Employers of the Minors and Vices Units of police departments from Centru, Ciocana and Rascani districts of Chisinau found out, during two days, 68 minors who abandoned their classes, spending time in internet-clubs. According to the press-centre of the Ministry of Internal Affaires, policemen inspected, during raids, 18 internet-clubs from the capital. 12 children were found in them in the nighttime. Schools were informed about the minors who attend internet-clubs during classes, where, as the police claim, alcoholic and narcotics are consumed. Police have also verified the lawfulness of the activity of computer-rooms, ascertaining that most of them act with breaches of legislation. Among the most frequent violations are the lack of required papers, neglection of sanitary rules, lack of guards as well as infringements of the work schedule. The owners of these clubs paid fees up to MDL 250 each. During last week, police forces will continue their special raids, together with the representatives of the education departments and structures for children’s rights protection, aiming to eradicate this phenomenon.
