A moratorium on state inspections at micro, small and medium-sized enterprises could be instituted for a period of a year. The measure applies to fiscal, financial inspections, inspections to determine the quality of products and services and others. This is provided in a bill that was approved by the parliamentary commission for appointments and immunities, IPN reports.

Bill author Alexandru Slusari said the MPs of the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, the Action and Solidarity Party and the Democratic Party voted in favor of the bill. “The provisions of the law implemented during a calendar year will ensure the entrepreneurs will not be subject to administrative control by the inspection bodies and to abusive actions taken in most of the cases by representatives of these bodies with the aim of fining enterprises and covering the financial gap created as a result of the bank fraud. The measure will help improve the investment climate,” stated the MP.

Also today, the Parliament’s commission on foreign policy and European integration voted in favor of initiating negotiating’s and signing the Moldova – EU Association Committee in Trade Configuration’s decision to update Annex No. 15 to the Association Agreement signed in Brussels on June 27, 2014. This way, the Moldovan farmers will be able to export larger quantities of grapes, plums and cherries to the EU without paying customs duties. Moldova will benefit from additional tariff quotas with a 50% rise for grapes and plums and a new duty-free quota for cherries, of 2,000 tonnes.

There will also be increased the dispatch volumes for wheat, barley, corn and processed grains and the quota on ethyl alcohol. For its part, Moldova will gradually increase the volume of tariff contingents for the goods coming from the EU in the case of pork and poultry, dairy products and sugar.

The parliamentary commission on environment and regional development approved the bill to amend the law on groups of agricultural producers and associations of these. The changes exclude unjustified provisions concerning the constitution documents of the groups of producers, such as the notarial authentication of these. It was proposed excluding the situations when one agricultural producer could be the member of several groups of producers.
