Monument unveiled at Ion and Doina Aldea Teodorovici's grave

A granite monument was erected at the grave of the musicians Ion and Doina Aldea Teodorovici in the Chisinau's Central Cemetery. The monument was unveiled on April 7, on the 58th birth anniversary of composer Ion Aldea-Teodorovici, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The burden of losing them is so hard to bear. But today I can say that I'm happy, because something that I waited for twenty long years has just happened”, said Eugenia Marin, Doina's mother. Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici, their son, promised to do his utmost to keep the memory of his parents alive in the hearts of those who loved and admired them. Attending the ceremony, Chisinau Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca said: “Today we should rather have thrown a great birthday party for the great musician Ion Aldea-Teodorovici. But instead we are here to only remember his name. It's good however that this monument can help us to show them our love and respect”. A group of priests from the St. Teodora of Sihla Cathedral complemented the ceremony with a mass. The Chisinau City Hall contributed 150,000 lei to the monument which was designed by the Municipal Architecture Division in cooperation with the family.
