A monument to Ruler Stephan the Great and Holy will be built in front of the building of the West Regional Division of the General Border Police Inspectorate in Ungheni town, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision.
The costs associated with the designing of project documentation, building of the monument and laying out of the territory will be covered with donations and sponsorships.
At the suggestion of the local authorities, a monument to victims of Stalinist deportations will be also built in Sireți village of Strășeni district. Sixteen families with a total of 53 members were deported from Sireți.
