Monument to Stefan cel Mare vandalised in Sangera town

The monument to Stefan cel Mare located in the front of the Mayoralty in Sangera town, municipality of Chisinau, was vandalised on the night of January 4-5, Radio Sangera reports, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The deputy mayor of the town, Stefan Bumbu says that on Friday the morning the monument to the king was downed and vandalised. According to Radio Sangera, the man on guard at the mayoralty, who is also a local councillor, and who was the first to discover that the monument was vandalised, took no attitude, did not inform the employees of the mayoralty or the police, the headquarters of which was located 30-35 metres far from the mayoralty. According to Stefan Bumbu, the police bodies are investigating the incident and are also asking for an explanation from the guard.
