A monument to the victims of the Holocaust will be built in Cahul town, IPN reports, quoting a decision approved by the Government. The monument will be put up in the place of the ghetto that existed in Cahul during World War II.
The costs associated with the erecting of the monument will be covered with donations and sponsorships.
The executive also accepted the proposal to build a monument to soldiers killed in the Afghanistan war in Edinet town. The monument will be erected in the local public garden “Vasile Alecsandri”. The building costs will be covered with allocations from the local and district budgets.
