The Republic of Moldova urgently needs a stable and pro-European Government that will strengthen the democratic institutions and will continue the pro-European reforms for the county’s democratization and the people’s welfare, said MEP Monica Macovei, who heads the delegation to the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, IPN reports.
“Moldova needs a credible Government that would lead it to the initialing of the Association Agreement with the EU, the Visas Liberalization Agreement and the Free Trade Treaty, which will enable some of the products to enter the European market duty-free, in Vilnius this November. This Government should also achieve definite and visible results until the parliamentary elections of November 2014,” said the MEP.
According to Monica Macovei, the new Cabinet proposed by Iurie Leanca must show to the EU that it is a credible partner by fulfilling the made commitments. ”I see Moldova only near the European Union. The vote of May 30 is essential and the European integration chance should not be missed,” Monica Macovei stated one day before the vote.
The Government is invested by at least 51 votes of MP.
