The Democratic Party’s candidate for the post of mayor general of Chisinau Monica Babuc wants the Chisinau City Hall not to become involved in politics, but to do more good things for the people. In the forum of the party’s municipal organization, she said that she and her team aim to make living conditions in Chisinau and its suburbs more comfortable, IPN reports.
Monica Babuc stated that following the recent rain the electoral contestants put forward strange initiatives, like transforming the Byk into a navigable river with cascades. The PDM suggested a realistic project, to create the City Hall of the Family. In a short period of time, more than 400 persons put questions and asked for advice from this project’s experts.
The candidate said that she and her team installed a ramp for wheelchair users at a polling place in Botanica district of Chisinau, following a request from persons with disabilities who said that they want to vote at the polling place, not through the mobile ballot box, as all the other people.
The Democratic Party’s leader Marian Lupu said that over the last four years the Democratic councilors managed to implement a number of important projects such as the construction and repair of nurseries and schools, building of water supply and sewerage systems and street lighting and these projects are appreciated by the people.
Marian Lupu urged the Democratic candidates to ask themselves not what the country does for them, but what they can do for the country, as the U.S. President John Kenedy said.
