Monica Babuc dismissed as Deputy Parliament Speaker

Democratic MP Monica Babuc was replaced by the MP of the Shor Party Vladimir Vitiuc in the post of Deputy Parliament Speaker. The relevant decisions were adopted by the MPs of the Party of Socialists, the Shor Party and For Moldova platform on December 4, IPN reports.

In the same sitting, the MPs adopted changes to the composition of the standing parliamentary commissions.

For Moldova MP Sergiu Sîrbu was named head of the commission on national security, defense and public order instead of the Democratic MP Alexandru Jizdan, who became a member of the legal commission for appointments and immunities.

Shor Party MP Violeta Ivanov was named head of the commission on foreign policy and European integration instead of Democratic MP Igor Vremea, who was named a member of the commission on human rights and interethnic relations.

Marina Tauber, of the Shor Party, will head the commission on environment and regional development instead of Democratic MP Nicolae Ciubuc, who was appointed as a member of the commission on human rights and interethnic relations.

The MPs of the Party of Socialist, the Shor Party and For Moldova platform also modified the composition of the parliamentary delegations to international organizations.

The MPs of the Party of Action and Solidary, the Party “Dignity and Truth Platform”, the Democratic Party and Pro Moldova are absent from the sitting.
