Romania starts to confront with a lack of labor force, and one of the solutions is attracting foreign workers, including from Moldova, Romanian press informs. According to the statistics, the high number of Romanians who went abroad left a gap on the labor market, fact also proved by the extremely low rate of employment. The solution is attracting workers from abroad, and the first to benefit, although unofficially is the Republic of Moldova. According to hotnews.ro, the Romanians’ “travels” abroad especially affected the fields of construction, light industry and tourism. The companies specialized in constructions, textiles and tourism and the personnel recruitment agencies recognize that the demand on the labor market is high and it can not be covered. Previously, the president of Romania, Traian Basescu tackling the subject related to the lack of labor force, said that the Romanian outside the borders of the country could be a solution. “Now we must carefully manage our policies, so that we can attract Romanians outside our borders – to discuss with the population from Moldova, Romanians from Ukraine, Romanians from Serbia – who could work on the Romanian labor market; and maybe we should introduce a selective access system on the labor market”, Basescu declared. Hotnews.ro brings one more argument in favor of this scenario. Moldovans receive extremely easy Romanian visas or citizenships.
