Moldtelecom offers 100,000 lei in aid to flood victims

Moldetelecom transferred on Thursday, July 8, a sum of 100,000 lei in aid to the people affected by the recent flooding events in a number of communities along the Prut River, under a decision adopted by the company's Board at an emergency meeting, Info-Prim Neo reports. Moldtelecom, whose founder and sole stockholder is the government, made the donation in response to the Government's appeal for help for the flooding victims. “Moldtelecom feels for the people who suffered in the aftermath of the floods. We express our hope that other companies, businessmen, as well as the entire society will wish to lend a helping hand”, the national telephony operator said in a press release. Moldtelecom encouraged other companies to follow its example of showing responsibility for the country's progress and welfare.
