As many as 64,000 evergreen trees will be put on sale by the Forestry Agency Moldsilva as from the middle of December. The trees will be bought from 19 nurseries managed by the Agency, IPN reports.
The height of trees will vary between one meter and six meters. Over 31,000 trees will be under 1.5 meters in height. The prices at nurseries remained unchanged: 36 lei/meter per spruces and 25 lei/meter per pines.
Contacted by IPN, Petru Rotaru, head of the Forestry Stock and Protected Areas Service of Moldsilva, said the evergreens are sold wholesale. The buyers cover the felling and transportation costs.
Last year, evergreen trees at the market costs 200-300 lei, while the imported ones – 600-800 lei.
