Moldova’s Vadim Ghimbovschi wins bronze at Judo World Championships

Vadim Ghimbovschi won the bronze medal at the Judo World Junior Championships, taking place in the Tajik capital Dushanbe. In the third place match of the 90 kg category, the Moldovan judoka defeated Kazakhstan’s Askar Birzhanov.

The Ministry of Education and Research notes that this is the third medal won by Moldova at the World Junior Championships. Previously, Victor Sterpu won the bronze medal in 2019, and Mihail Latîşev won the gold medal in 2022.

67 countries from 5 continents are participating in the ongoing Championships, taking place during October 2-6.
