Moldova's social assistance database to be automated

The database of all the beneficiaries of social assistance in Moldova will be kept be means of an automated system called SIAAS, Info-Prim Neo reports. Minister of Social Protection, Family and Child Galina Balmos told a Cabinet's meeting on Wednesday the system will be one of the main instruments to help social assistants with their work. SIAAS will create an exhaustive informational picture of the results of policies carried out in the field and will ensure data protection at every stage: collection, storing, processing and use. The system will administrated by the Ministry of Social Protection, Family and Child. SIAAS will have two modules: “Social Benefits” and “Social Services – social assistance cases”.
