The Liberal Party (PL), the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and Our Moldova Alliance (AMN) will not take part in recounting the votes on Wednesday, April 15, as ordered by the Constitutional Court following a request by the Communists Party (PCRM). The leaders of those parties argue “this is a farce of the Communists,” through which the latter ones would try to get hold of one more mandate and to break the process of verifying the voters lists, since “they realized that the opposition unveiled how the PCRM rigged the elections,” Info-Prim Neo reports. Serafim Urecheanu, Mihai Ghimpu and Vlad Filat told a news conference on Tuesday that the frauds were committed in another way, and are not mirrored in the number of votes. “If we have known that dead people voted, now we have discovered that the minors got the right to vote, too,” said Serafim Urecheanu, the AMN leader. The representatives of those three parties refrain from publicizing their evidence gathered till now, but stressed it's sufficient to unveil the counterfeiting trend. “It's a gross fraud,” said Vlad Filat, the PLDM leader. Mihai Ghimpu, the PL president, has said there is video evidence clearly showing how retarded people vote, and before entering the booth “they were given an ID card to hold in their hands for 5 minutes.” Vlad Filat says the number of the people registered on the additional voters lists has risen unjustly, plus some 400,000 people. Thousands of people address those three parties over the Internet, phone or personally and bring evidence the elections were rigged, said the PLDM leader. The opposition parties say they find it hard to scan and copy the voters lists from Chisinau, since their access to those is restricted. The three leaders go on asking for “the right to address the Moldovan citizen through the public television.” They opine that “since the ruling party denies them this request, it is afraid the people will learn the truth including about the events of April 6 and 7 in Chisinau.” Urecheanu, Filat and Ghimpu have sent an official request to the president of the public company Teleradio-Moldova asking for airtime. They reiterated they insisted that an international probe should be carried out on the violent protests of last week. According to Mihai Ghimpu, it's worth noticing that the youths arrested and freed by the police were ordered to stay at home in order not to go to the legal medical examiners to certify they were beaten up by the police while in detention. On April 15, the votes will be recounted following the PCRM's request.
