The Moldovan Football Federation (MFF) decides to play the next two legs of the national championship under the Fair Play Days, Info-Prim Neo reports. The action is an urge to referees, players, supporters and officials to show respect and correctitude towards opponents, either on the field and outside it. The distinctive element will be the announcer's speech on this topic and then the players will line up in the middle of the field.
The Fair Play Days are an idea promoted by the FIFA President Joseph S. Blater during 20-28 September. The span was chosen on purpose to coincide with the World Peace Day (September 21), marked in all the countries through a decision of the UN General Assembly of 7 September 2001.
According to the President of the Moldovan Federation, Pavel Ciobanu, such an action is important for the Moldovan soccer to promote more tolerance, fairness and solidarity on fields.
