The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) of Moldova has qualified the visit of Romania’s Foreign Minister Adrian Cioroianu to Chisinau as an inimical act, Info-Prim Neo learned from a communique released by MFAEI. The press release says that contrary to the numerous statements by which the Romanian authorities expressed their availability to strengthen and diversify cooperation and partnership relations with Moldova, the Romanian Minister didn’t have the courtesy to meet with the Moldovan official authorities. “We therefore reserve ourselves the right to describe this gesture as unfriendly and totally discordant with the spirit of cooperation between two countries, which will obviously not help to improve the current state of the bilateral relations between Moldova and Romania”, the communique reads. MFAEI says that it was informed about the Romanian Foreign Minister’s visit to Chisinau by means of a Verbal Note of the Romanian Embassy in Moldova, which said that he was going to visit the Romanian Embassy on official business. Adrian Cioroianu was today in Chisinau to inaugurate the new headquarters of the Romanian Consulate in Chisinau.
