Moldova’s first President was discharged and will celebrate birthday at home

The first President of Moldova Mircea Snegur was discharged from the hospital after undergoing surgery on the leg on January 5, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mircea Snegur had stayed in a private medical center in Chisinau for eight days. According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Health, the operation was successful. At the pre-operation and post-operation stage, the first head of state was supervised by a medical council. The surgery was performed to restore the mobility of the right knee. On January 17, Mircea Snegur turns 72. He had been President of Moldova in September 1990 – December 1996.
