Moldova’s prospects of integrating into the European Union and Romania’s role in this process were discussed in the debates “Moldova and Romania in the Context of EU’s Enlargement” that were held at the “Lower Danube” University in Galati on April 9, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the press service of the State Secretary for the Romanians Everywhere Eugen Tomac, the debates centered on issues concerning the regaining of Romanian nationality and the status of the scholars of the Romanian state. Eugen Tomac assured the young people from Moldova who took part in the debates that Romania will continue to provide scholarships to the Bessarabian students who want to study at Romanian high schools and universities. The event was organized by the Club of Bessarabian and Bucovinian Students of Galati and the Institute “Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi” for the Romanians Everywhere.
