Moldova’s Consulate in Padova to suspend work

Moldova’s Consulate in Padova, Italy, will stop work on a temporary basis, while the Consulate’s employees will be on leave. In the periods between June 29 and July 3 and August 17 and September 18, consular service in Padova will not be provided, IPN reports.

Ana Taban, head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, said the Consulate’s work will be suspended because the personnel will be absent. In emergencies, the citizens of Moldova can go to Moldova’s Consulate General in Milan, situated at 8 V. Gioberti St, or can use the services of Moldova’s Embassy in Rome, located at 27 Via Francesco Cherubini At. The distance from Padova to the Consulate in Milan is about 250 km, while to that in Rome – 500 km.  

Ana Taban said the Consulate in Padova provides such services as issuing of notarial documents and transcription of civil status documents.
