The Republic of Moldova practically has no chances to have a good government in the future that would take the country out of the crisis. Such a conclusion was formulated in the talk show “Moldova live” on the public TV channel Moldova 1, IPN reports.
Cornelia Cozonac, director of the Journalistic Investigations Center, expressed her skepticism about the quality of the future executive. “The current government is irresponsible towards the citizens given that such a situation was reached. The struggle is now not for the formation of a professional government that would take the country out of the crisis, but for posts and votes. They are making effort to obtain votes from the PCRM. The people do not believe that we will have a government that would work for them,” she stated.
Anatol Taranu, director of the Center for Political Research and Consultancy “Politicon”, is skeptical about the future government’s chances to be successful. “Even if the PLDM left some doors open as regards their participation in governance, their conditions will be harsh. On the one hand, the draft agreement on the formation of the ruling alliance put forward by the PDM has a fault. It seems good, but does not have chronology. There are no clear time limits for implementing it. Thus, this program represents only some statements. We already have enough rhetoric. An ideal solution is for the pro-European parties to form a professional government that would be able to overcome the crisis. But the ideal solutions in our country do not have many chances of being put into practice,” he said.
Constitutional law expert Vitali Catana formulated several principles that the participants in the future government should take into account. “First of all, we must have a pro-European government. Secondly, the crisis caused by the stealing of the billion should be dealt with. Thirdly, early parliamentary elections are not wanted. Lastly, the political composition of the future government counts. It must represent an alliance between the PDM, PLDM, PL and PPEM. These four ideas should be taken account of. But the negotiations are difficult because the PLDM does not take part in them,” he stated.
