The Moldovan citizens will be exempted from paying taxes for being issued with visas for Poland, the co-chairman of the Poland-Moldova Parliamentary Assembly Andrzej Halicki said at the end of the assembly’s third meeting that was held in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. The official said that about 7,000 Moldovans last year benefited from visas, paying a tax of €70 for national visas. “We hope that the cancellation of these taxes will lead to an increase in the number of Moldovans coming to Poland,” said the official. Andrzej Halicki also said that a decision to this effect will be put into application by the Polish authorities in several months. A joint statement was sighed at the end of the meeting. According to the co-chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly on behalf of Moldova Igor Corman, the document says that Moldova remains an assistance priority for Poland. The statement reiterates Poland’s support Moldova on the path to European integration. The Poland-Moldova Parliamentary Assembly was constituted in 2011. The next meeting will take place in Poland.
